imaginary plans out and develops a set of simulators which support managers in the phases of analysis, planning and monitoring of the strategies and processes in the firm.

  • Competency Oriented Process Simulator (COPS): this tool provides an effective support mechanism for the manager. Through integration with “classical” process simulators but also with a stand-alone use, the tool supports the manager with forecasts of the outcome of a process in terms of cost – time – quality depending on the levels of competencies and skills of the staff working on the process. Personality traits using the Myers-Briggs method are also considered, where these are available. It is also possible to work backwards with the tool, setting the desired outcome and searching for the optimal staffing solution.

  • Quality Culture Assessment Tool: this tool gives the company manager the chance to self-assess his/her organization and to target resources at a specific improvement sought by the business.
Once identified, the assessment areas within an organization (e.g. leadership, processes, strategy, company policy etc., all of which are completely customizable) are partitioned into observable business elements or items. The human resources required for the execution of these items, are combined with these competencies.
From the simulation output analysis the manager can appraise the quality of the activities carried out within the business and obtain a grid proposing the staff competencies to build up, in order of priority. This might be immediately transformed into an internal training plan for the enhancement of overall quality or of the quality related to each single assessment area.

  • Star Rating Tool: developed by imaginary with the collaboration of SCIE within the PROLIX project, Star Rating Tool SRT provides care home managers with many opportunities to explore strengths and weaknesses, to identify specific training needs in a far more sophisticated way than in the past. Unlike some simulations which abstract from reality, the SRT is ‘hard-wired’ with the  UK actual standards and assessment criteria of the sector, making it a powerful diagnostic tool.

  • Strategy simulator: once planned the strategy and the projects necessary to arrive to its achievement, it enables to verify how these are appropriate for that purpose. The change of projects allows to foretell where the strategy is leading to, evaluating for this reason how this is coherent with the starting expectations. This way, the strategy can be way adjusted to the specific needs of the company.
